Yesterday, I received not one, not two, not three, but four giant-sized political direct mail flyers on the same day. FOUR.
Over the past month, political organizations have unleashed a dizzying whirlwind of direct mail advertising upon my household, and presumably tens of thousands of others, which appears to be working.
When I hear a candidate's name, my mind instantly jumps to one of the expertly-written, alarmist-style headlines that is now an ingrained part of daily life.
Just like the State Farm® jingle (for the record, Peyton Manning's, "Chicken parm you taste so good," is the best) is likely to bounce around in your head for days, these political ads are designed for easy absorption, too.
