POPULAR FLYER SIZES:

5.5” x 8.5” – Commonly referred to as a “half sheet” and highly popular due to extremely low print rates. If you cut a standard 8.5” x 11” flyer in half, you will end up with (2) 5.5” x 8.5” flyers.

8.5” x 11” – The most popular size flyer available. This size is the standard size for a sheet of paper. It is the same size as standard paper found in your home printer. Highly-effective, budget-friendly, and the industry standard for flyers and brochures.

11” x 17” – A large format that is the size of (2) 8.5” x 11” flyers placed side by side. This format is perfect for folding in half or tri-folding. The mos tcommon uses are for restaurant takeout menus, oversized-brochures, newspaper inserts, and direct mail ads.

PAPER OPTIONS:

60# Gloss – Glossy, quality paper recommended for flyers, newspaper inerts, handouts, and cost-effective promotions. Similar in thickness to the cover of Time Magazine (about the thickness of a sheet of paper from your home printer) and acceptable fo rmost advertisements. Not recommended for brochures or use in direct mail advertisements.

80# Gloss – Glossy, high-quality paper recommended for cost-effective brochure printing, flyers, takeout menus, and direct mail advertising. Thicker than 60# and more durable. Great for mass distribution and flyers, brochures, or menus that are to be folded.

100# Gloss – Glossy, very high-quality paper recommended for high-end brochures, flyers, and takeout menus. Perfect for luxury items, real estate, trade shows, and many other applications that require a tremendous first-impression. Often used for “short-run printing” and with Digital Printing Press jobs. Not recommended for bulk orders or small budgets.

PRINTING OPTIONS:

4/4 – Full color both sides
4/0 – Full color one side only
Bleed – Graphics extend to edge of page
No Bleed – 1/4″ white border around entire page

FOLDING OPTIONS:

No Fold – Flat unfolded end result.
Half-Fold – Fold one sheet in half vertically or horizontally.
Tri-Fold – Two folds creating a 3-panel end result.
Parallel Fold – Folded in half then folded in half again.
Gate-Fold – Eight resulting panels, four in front and four at the back. The panels at each opposite end are folded inward, towards the center of the page.
