Choose Flyers or Postcards for EDDM™
With the Every Door Direct Mail™ program, there are many sizes available that qualify for the program. Of those many sizes, they all fall under the flyer or postcard category. Flyers are typically on the lighter and larger side compared to postcards. The postcards are printed on card stock which is sturdy, the flyer have a little more give and bend so they can fold easier. Depending on your business and the type of mailer you plan to send out via Every Door Direct Mail™, the size you would need varies.
Flyers can be folded in half and there is plenty of space available; perfect for menus or informational flyers. Many restaurants use the larger flyers for mailings because with all the space, they are able to fit their menu with full descriptions and beautiful graphics. The flyers can also be tri-folded for a brochure type mailer. The flyers are definitely very versatile and they offer a very broad range of uses. Many companies mail these through the Every Door Direct Mail™ Program to gain awareness and offer information.
The postcard sizes available are also oddly sized, so there is no way they can be missed in the mail. They are all serve the purpose of being noticed because they are either longer or wider than the average mail. The average mailbox will see about 5 pieces of mail per day and if one of them is your oversized flyer or postcard, it will definitely catch the eye of your customers.
The success rate of both flyers and postcards depends on the offer associated with them. They all have their purposes and are all successful in their own ways. Each mailer is different and, in turn, the success rates vary as well. When deciding on which size to use for your next Every Door Direct Mail™ campaign, consider all the options available and take into account the type of mailer you want to send.
